Quickspin may be a couple of notches short of being the biggest online slots developer in its native Sweden, especially with the likes of NetEnt and Yggdrasil standing in the way, but their focus on expansion and consolidation throughout Europe ensures that the developer is never too far away from being in the news. This week, the Playtech-owned developer announced that it would be bringing its full portfolio of online casino games to popular sportsbook and casino site Interwetten.
As many of our readers will know, Interwetten services a primarily German-speaking audience, and we can see this deal helping things along in terms of giving those players something to get excited about. After all, they have faced a turbulent couple of weeks recently, with two of their leading land-based brands in Novomatic and Merkur both announcing their intentions to exit the German market.
As an established gaming name in the country and surrounding areas, there are no such worries with Interwetten, and certainly no issues with Quickspin, which is looking to offer its games through as many partner developers as possible. Indeed, no party has made any secret of the fact that one of the main aims of the deal is to increase Quickspin’s exposure internationally, particularly among German-speaking players. Given that every Quickspin online game is launched with support for multiple languages, it should come as no surprise to see that they are looking for a return on such commitment!
With full access to the developer’s portfolio, Interwetten players can soon expect to get their hands on some fine recent releases including Sakura Fortune, Mayana and Mighty Arthur, and the package includes Quickspin’s own Achievements Engine system, which adds a minor but truly welcome element to gameplay.
Quickspin CEO Daniel Lindberg praised the deal, just as you might expect, while also pointing out how Interwetten’s decision to take on the games served as another marker for quality.
He continued: “We’ve always viewed Interwetten as the gateway to the Germanic-speaking countries, so to sign this deal for their players to now access all of our slots is very pleasing. Their history and track record are second to none in these territories, so we’re naturally thrilled to be joining forces with them.”
Interwetten’s Speaker of the Board, Werner Becher, also commented, saying: “The demand for superior slots has grown exponentially of late, and we’ve been looking to boost our offering in this space. Choosing Quickspin to provide their suite of games seemed a shoo-in for us, with their reputation for quantity without sacrificing quality firmly established in the industry.”
If nothing else, the deal will give players in German-speaking regions the chance to play Goldilocks and the Wild Bears on their online and mobile devices, and while that isn’t the freshest release in the range, it is still one of our favourite games out there! With that said, there are dozens of great games on their way to Interwetten, and we are confident that this deal will be a successful one!
