Genie Jackpots

Genie Jackpots Online Casino Slot Review

Given the amount of time, money and effort that has gone in to the creation of quite possibly the most impressive portfolio of branded slots in existence, it is almost poetic that the best-known game in Blueprint’s online slots range is actually one of their own original creations. Sure, they can’t exactly take all the credit for the concept of genies and the Arabian Nights style theme, but they would not be the first to draw inspiration from elsewhere before putting their own stamp on it, and they certainly won’t be the last either. We have quite a bit of experience with this game, but we don’t necessarily want to give too much away to early. Instead, we would rather take you on a journey into the full review below, where you will be able to see why in a world of high-quality games, Genie Jackpots is still more than capable of standing out!

The Style and Base Gameplay

Unless the theme calls for something else specifically, you can generally rely on all Blueprint Gaming slots to be bright, cheery and colourful. Genie Jackpots certainly fits that description, and it is an absolute pleasure to look at as much as anything else. Blueprint’s famous tailored playing card icons get things underway as the lower value symbols, and they are then joined by some impeccably designed themed icons that include scimitars, magic lamps, the genie’s headgear and the Genie Jackpots logo. A rather inept looking monkey appears on the wild card, but he seems perfectly capable to us as the symbol can fill in for anything that we have mentioned so far, and will indeed only not be able to cover when the bonus symbol is involved.

There are no major surprises when it comes to the win lines here on the game. Blueprint rarely strays too far from its standard setup and when a game is this popular, you know that they have hit the sweet spot for accessibility. Twenty win lines enable fast enough wins for the most experienced players, while not being too daunting in terms of staking for newer ones, so we were pleased to see that this is exactly what they went with here.

Features and Extras

The developer loves a base game bonus potentially more than they love the twenty-line setup, and they are out in full effect here. Randomly, and during any spin, three magic lamps may appear at the top of the board. Players are tasked with simply rubbing one of them to reveal one of five different bonuses. In the Genie Wilds Respin, one or more symbol positions will be turned wild and any new wins formed by this will be paid. The wilds will then freeze in place while a free respin plays out. The Genie Wilds Doubler is similar, but this time random wilds will be added to the board. There’s no respin, but prizes that make use of these newly added wilds will be worth twice as much as normal.

The main monkey wild is joined by his cousin, the infectious monkey wild. These symbols will be added to the board at random, and have the potential to infect other symbols around them, turning them into wild cards too.

In the two simplest, but potentially most effective outcomes, players can instantly trigger one of the main bonuses, which we will be covering in a moment, or win themselves the full progressive jackpot prize displayed at the top of the screen. This game isn’t called Genie Jackpots for nothing!

The simpler of the two additional bonuses is the Mystery Win. Land bonus symbols on reels one and three, together with the chest scatter on reel five, and you will be awarded an instant prize out of that chest, that can potentially be worth up to a hundred times your bet.

The Magic Carpet bonus is slightly more complex, although it is triggered in the same way. A bonus symbol on reels one and three, this time with a magic carpet on reel five, will get this action underway. You’ll be tasked with picking from the displayed magic carpets in order to move the monkey along the trail – he’s clearly more deeply involved in the whole concept of this game than we gave it credit for! You’ll pick up cash along the way, although finding ‘collect’ with a pick will end the round. Fortunately, the trail does not last forever and if you reach Big Money before finding ‘collect’, you’ll be treated to a suitably impressive prize.

Our Thoughts on Blueprint Gaming's Genie Jackpots

Genie Jackpots is not the best-looking Blueprint slot, nor is it the most feature-packed. However, as a total package, we can definitely see why it is widely regarded as being one of the most popular games that the developer has ever released. It has winged its way into our favourites over the course of the review, and even puts up stiff competition to our standard progressive choices like Mega Fortune Dreams and Mega Moolah. The top prize is not quite as big, but the competition is not as stiff either. If you’ve played the game before, offline or elsewhere, then you’ll find it to be every bit as good today as it ever was. If you’re brand new, then we would suggest checking it out without delay as Genie Jackpots is not only one of the best jackpot slots out there, but one of the best slots around in general!
